Where can I get this cheaper? I've looked round the net but with no luck. I'm wondering is there similar stuff but called something different that I can get cheaper?

Don't know if this will help, but i was delivering to a sign making place, and out the front they had a skip full of perspex. Big sheets, and plenty thick. I asked if they were throwing it away, and they said no it was being recycled. Hmm, any chance i could grab some bits, i asked. Oh yes, help yourself they said. So i did.

The last time i bought perspex it was about a tenner for a pretty small piece, but getting big sheets from the sign maker was free!

So, it might be worth your while to see if you have any sign making shops near you and then raid their scrap bin.

Unfortunately (and annoyingly) i can't actually remember which shop it was otherwise i'd share.

Hth. Good luck! Thumbs Up

What's it for?
I use a lot of cast acrylic but find the direct plastics site useful for selecting material
I never knew there were so many different types each with its own
properties and uses and DP give useful tips

https://www.directplastics.co.uk/

I have local place that allows me to skip dive for off cuts which has saved me lotsa dosh.
Mind you I only use up to about A3 sheet in my machine

Its for pattern making for fibreglass molds. Needs to be resistant to epoxy and polyesters.
