1 bike.
Tree fiddy ponds.
Sold as seen.
Signed by the buyer and the seller.
You could put the mileage and other details if you want to.

Private sales are sold as seen so even without them signing a bit of paper, the buyer hasn't got any comeback so you could just do what Roger does and block the buyers number once you've sold the bike.

So here it is. Its equally applicable to Bikes of course..

I've always insisted on having something when selling a bike. It's more to cover me should the buyer stack it on the way home and TP tries to claim on me. Obviously insurance will have been cancelled prior to sale by sometimes such requests aren't "processed" as expected so it's good to have a back up to prove you no longer owned the bike and who was actually riding it.

Also stops chancers from knocking on your door the next day claiming the sub-frame is twisted and that you sold him a lemon!

The V5 signed by the new owner is proof that you're no longer the registered keeper.

Having a signed receipt from the buyer doesn't prove who was actually riding it and it doesn't prove that you weren't riding it.

It's also not going to stop chances from knocking on your door the next day.
