Waterproof suit

Has anyone got one of these waterproof suits and would you recommend it?

If not what do you have that you can recommend needs to be somewhere around that budget for now as I have a few too many outgoings this month.

I have the RST one. Does it's job of keeping me dry very well.

Will become a sweat box in the summer as it's just a plastic suit. If you're at all podgy round the middle, then I wouldn't recommend the RST one as it's very trim around the middle. I'm 5'7" with a 32" waist and it's a wrestling match everyone morning to try and get the zip done up.

I have a 1 piece Weise suit that has done a great job of keeping me dry on the three occasions that I've worn it over the past couple of years.

If it's winter (September to April) I wear lined cordura, if it's summer then two piece waterproofs. Romper suits are great, but such a faff. If you're going to wear it, great, but it could end up as just another forgotten bundle in the Pile-O-Stuffs.

I've got the jacket version of this , works great and is breathable too so you dont feel just as wet from the sweat.

I'm looking for something to wear over the top of my RST tractech evo jacket and trousers as although they are new I still got wet around the middle this morning.

+1 for the RST... The Missus got me one for Christmas and it's great for keeping rain and wind out... I'm sure she paid £40 for it from sportsbikeshop, seems to be £50 now?

Fits snug - and is a faff to pull over boots (zips and velcro etc) when the arms and the rest of the suit is dragging on the floor - so i either put it on indoors or don't bother. It would have to be some freakin' rainstorm to try and shrug it on at the roadside...

Comes with a bag and you could* wear it round your waist. Fits under the seat of a Fazer though.

I bought the Richa one about 2-3 years ago. I've worn it a grand total of once so far.

It's great IF you know you're going on a long journey and its going to piss it down the whole way so you can put it on in advance. However if youre just caught out in a shower, its too much hassle to try and stop at the side of the road and put it on. It wont fit over your boots (well, not my giant size 12 stompers anyway... if youve got womens feet then maybe it will), so everything has to come off to get it on.

Had mine years and even after its gone vomit-inducingly mouldy and rotted around the collar after I packed it away for months and forgot to dry it off - its still waterproof.

Can't really fault it on that basis alone .

I have an OSX suit, after about 6 months the plastic all cracked up/disintegrated around the crotch area and now it just holds the water in. I have fixed that with some ex-army goretex overtrousers that I wear as well though.

Not only good for the rain, good for keeping the cold off too. I couldn't survive without one now

I've got the Richa one which fits over my gear. However, it's tricky getting in the thing, but even more so getting out of it unless you have the ability to dislocate your shoulders.

I have the lined RST one piece suit. The first two times you put it on can be a struggle. Now it can go on in about a minute. Slip boots on and off when you put each leg through, that's it.

When playing out late, wearing my leathers, I'll strap it to the bike and when it gets chilly and/or rainy, I can put my bright yellow (and black) suit on and stay nice and warm.

British or Dutch Army gortex waterproofs - cheap as chips and do the job superbly.
