Optimate Lead (might be a stupid question)

Forgive my lack of techyness.

There is what I believe to be an optimate lead connected to my battery (pretty much like this) https://www.webbikeworld.com/r3/motorcycle-battery-charger/optimate-3/optimate-3-battery-charger-standard-connector.jpg

Can this only be used for a battery charger or is it possible to
get a USB, cigarette lighter or other adaptor that plugs into this lead.

Might be a stupid question from an old luddite but thought I'd ask

Any advice appreciated.

This adaptor is directly connected to your battery. Means you have 12v exposed there.

They sell same optimate extension leads. You can buy one cut it in half and cut it. Than connect the connector part on one side and on the other part to any device that needs 12V. Like cigarette adaptor.

Or USB. Note the USB adaptor must have voltage convertor inside that accepts 12v and makes USB connector 5V.

Bear in mind the leads have limitation how much juice I mean ampers can flow there before you burn the fuse or worst. Means do not connect too many devices there. Probably one mobile phone ok your heated jacket plus something else not ok.

Google PDM60 for a device that can give you more power.

You can get the connectors that plug into the Optimate connectors. They are commonly used on radio control car batteries.

I have the Optimate lead attached to my battery. I also have the cigarette lighter attachment that I use with a car charger to power my sat nav or to charge my phone. Just beware that because it is directly attached to the battery it stays live all the time, so anything plugged into it will draw power constantly and could flatten the battery if left long enough.

As Katy says, it is commonly called a 'Tamiya' connector, so you could make your own leads up if you wanted.
