I own an LG Spirit, bought it new last November. I've taken it back under warranty and had a replacement (just as poor) as the GPS is dire on it, forever to get a lock and then drops in and out of lock every few seconds, tried downloading snake-oil Android apps but to no avail. Also tried Waze instead of Google maps for a sat nav but both crap. Before this I had a Sony phone, bang on the money for lock and signal but the 5.1 update messed the sound up to the point you could hardly hear the ring-tone.

Does anyone know a surefire way of fixing the LG's poor GPS signal? YouTube videos show people putting strips of card board under the antenna, me I am not so sure.
