Does anyone else have one?
Im finding mine is heating up a lot! So hot that i cant keep it in my pocket!
Anyone else have a problem with overheating? And is there a way to reduce it without getting rid of the phone...

In your pocket? Time to check the warranty terms.

If I understand this right, your device gets hot even at idle, which is never a good sign.

You're running too much stuff at the same time?

Go to Settings and then Battery usage to see what's using power.

Download CPU Monitor from the app store to see what's using processor power and how hot the CPU is getting.

Alternatively, download Antutu and see how hot the phone can get.

It doesn't get hot at idle, although there have been occasions where it felt like it might have. I don't run many apps. It gets hot just playing a game or browsing the Internet or watching YouTube. I'm aware there is an issue with the z5 heating up but I didn't realise just how often and how hot it actually got.

Seriously thinking about selling and getting an older gen phone.

My Z5 only gets hot if I deliberately run lots of stuff to see what happens.

3D Mark gets it nice and hot as done Antutu.

Download CPU-Z from the App Store, install it, open it then go across to the Thermal tab. At idle, the temps are all between 26 and 30, with the battery at 26.2

Start running 3D Mark and they're quickly up to about 40. After all the tests had finished the temps were between 50 and 60 with the battery at about 45.

You say it's so hot that you can't keep it in your pocket but you also say that it doesn't get hot at idle and gets hot when playing a game, browsing the Internet or watching YouTube. Presumably you're not doing those whilst it's in your pocket?

What are the temperatures on your phone like?

No but once I'm done using the phone I put it in my pocket and its very very warm. I'll download the app but it's looking like their is no fix unless I stop using the camera and YouTube etc....

Temperatures are usually around 36 to 40.
