Hi I'm new to the forum but problems already on a brand new bike.Ive previously owned a street triple r 2011 with no clutch/gearbox issues.I now have an RX 2016 the problem is selecting gears.When the bikes stopped you have to pop out the clutch to go down through all the gears also the same symptoms if the engine is not running.The same going up through the gears.Ive adjusted the clutch cable doesn't make it any better.Could this be a gear selector problem?Thanks in advance.

It is a dealer problem, but why are you trying to go down multiple gears when stationary? Most bikes I've ever ridden don't like going down say 3rd or 4th to 1st without a little rock or something. when stationary.

I was taught to bounce the clutch lever when changing gear back to 1st after an emergency stop back in 1991...

I was taught to bring the clutch all the way in, paddle it to the curb after the emergency stop and sort the gears out at the side of the road, with a combination of rocking/bouncing on the clutch. Admittedly this was on a hammered SR125 so may not be relevant now.

I've just got into the habit of being in first at anything below about 40mph, so it's not usually a problem.

I also had to be taught to not change down through the box whilst doing the emergency stop as I should be focusing on stopping and not changing gear....
