I have a few scratches on my handlebars and brake lever from dropping the bike. I can get OEM replacements, or I can get coloured levers and handlebar ends from ebay to match the bike (orange).

Are these any good?

Very recent thread on ebay levers. Do a search. They are good (most peoples opinion). Occasional omg you totes die comment, but everyone who's actually got them rates them.

I bought some black shorty levers a while ago from eGay. While they were cheap, and fitted/worked perfectly, they discoloured fairly quickly to a dark bronze colour.

So I guess it depends on your level of vanity.

Just make sure they are fitted correctly. Saw a post where someone fitted them incorrectly and it caused the front wheel to lock up at high speed.

I've got shorty silver ones from ebay on my Fazer - the best invested £16 ever Thumbs Up

If you want specific color make sure you send a message to the seller to confirm it back for you.

I have a shorty brake and long clutch on my 01 cbr600f. The quality is surprisingly good. Fit is OK, required minor modification with a file to the lump of metal that activates the clutch switch. Like 5 strokes with a file, but a bit of dicking around figuring out what was interfering with the fit.

Finish has lasted well too.

Would definitely recommend the levers but China bar end are typically underweight and a bit useless.

Any tips on how to ensure I'm fitting them correctly? I don't imagine it comes with an instruction manual?
