G'day, I am restoring a Honda MT50 1983 model, the bike has been completed striped, cleaned - the frame and components , blasted and resprayed back their original color - R23. I'm trying to keep the bike as original and authentic as possible.

I have started working on the wheels and was hoping at forum members could provide some advice regarding the front and rear hubs. I have striped them back to bare aluminum for re-coating (mat black).

Would it be better to have them spray painted or powder coated?

I have also found that the spacer that fits between the two rear bearing in the hub, through which the spindle passes, appears to be short. - 76mm.

Does any one know what the correct spacer length should be?

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.
