choke issue

hi everyone new to the forums and in need of a bit of help

ok so hoping someone can help me out bit of an on going issue so to start my bike i put the choke on and off while its warming up etc so while im riding the choke lever moves and all revs die at point during my trips i have to hold the choke in place im not riding it now untill i have sorted this its random when it does it also but have noticed its more happend occasionally in 3rd its like the engine vibrates and moves it i have in neutral and and revved it and seen the lever move

its a honda cg 125 brasil 05 plate

Hi, welcome to BCF.

If the choke is flicking over by itself its likely the grooves that the choke lever sit in are worn.
My old CG used to flick the choke on when I violently kickstarted it.

As below, on the side of the carb, the choke lever should have a metal plate over it with 3 holes, choke on/half choke/choke off, underneath that plate there is a ball bearing which creates the resistance when you flick it.
It's quite possible your hole is shagged. Gagged

With mine I just bent the metal plate slightly, creating more pressure between metal plate and ball bearing which did the trick.
If it was worse chemical metal would likely do nicely though.

awesome great pic will try and have a look at tis in morning as it seems to have gotten worse last few weeks thanks again

You should be able to remove that screw/plate easy enough even with it all assembled.
Look at the plate through the three holes from the back, you will see light grooves in between the holes, but if the holes no longer look circular and ovalled towards the grooves that's likely your problem.
