Given the breadth of knowledge on BCF, I thought I'd ask here first...

Basically, I have a very ad-hoc collection of MP3's dotted around various PC's and android devices around the house. PC's are Win 7 or better*.

Is there anything out there which can be downloaded on one of the PC's which will manage my music libraries and play my tunes.

The idea is to centralise said tunes, pick appropriate electro-northern-rave-Rastabilly skank-glam-Grindcore-East Coast** fusion, and play them via bluetooth to a speaker .....

Was looking at trying something along the lines of Clementine or MusicBee, but am happy to pay if its worth the lack of aggro ......

Muchos gracias ....

* oooohhhh, get you, you posh b@stard, showing off etc etc.....

** thats a lie. I'm really into Cotton Eye Joe. On Repeat. At full tilt. Till 3 a.m.

I've been using foobar 2000 on my pc since winamp went all bloated a few years ago.

On my android phone I use Poweramp, it's not free, but not that expensive either.

Foobar is great for playlists and takes up very little system resources.

Poweramp is a brilliant. You can have your own custom EQ, save as many EQ profiles as you like, album art, make your own playlists, media library, basically all you need for music on the move.

Diehard winamp user here. Torrent a copy of winamp pro. Not sure what benefit pro has but at least it comes in a nice easy working package.

Not sure about bluetoothing but surely just connecting to the PC will play any audio over it?

I fear uploading all my music and then relying on google. Who knows if down the line they will want proof of purchase or some other BS.

I will keep my MP3's local for the time being.

Yeah i have all mine on my server, but for mobile and crossplatform use it is top notch.

Also, it's been around since 2008?
Imagine having to sort out all that proof of purchase bollocks for that amount of users.
