New PC

So yesterday I received a pre build Asus ROG Pc, its the mutts nuts however... I have only ever used laptops so it was one massive drive and now the pc have another drive ( Very Happy

) , I was wondering if there is a way to install stuff from like steam, downloads etc into that drive instead of using the (:C) Drive as its getting pretty full as it is only 200Gb with windows installed where as the other drive is 2TB with nothing inside it.

I tend to use the C drive for only windows (I use an SSD) and everything else goes on the 2nd drive (which is also SSD) then I have a normal HDD for storage.

Means windows is quicker, especially at boot up.

When you download on steam you can select the steam library you want to install onto.

Yeah in Steam you can tell it where to install to.

Chrome you can specify too.

Main OS = C:\ which is a couple of SSD's in RAID 0. Apart from Windows, all my essential apps, nothing is stored on it.

I have separate HDD's for different things,

i.e.

D:\Web Design
E:\Games
F:\Apps

Have 6 HDD's in total internally and NAS outside for backup and storage.

If Windows corrupted, format it instantly as there's nothing on there to backup.

If you only have one drive, i.e a 2TB and nothing else, then just partition it in to however many drives you want.
