I'm currently looking for insurance for the ER5, and i have found a nice cheap quote. The thing is i don't think it has personal accident cover.

The old bag (mother) is going on (again and again and again Brick Wall ) about if i have a bad crash and loose several limbs or so that i won't be able to get any money back etc etc and that she will have to give up work to look after me and then we won't have any money to live on.

The thing is the quotes that have had accidental cover included or for an extra price are quite high, and i can't really afford to pay for it. My question is:

Do any of you have it, and is it worth the extra money?

Many thanks
Paul

Tell her an asprin overdose will cost about £3 max, and euthenasia is legal in holland.

Hi

Personal accident cover on bike insurance is quite rare.

What kind of quotes have you had?

All the best

I would suggest some different drug. You are going to have to work bloody hard to OD on Asprin unless you already have a bad stomach ulcer. As few as 12 paracetamol is capable of causing a slow, lingering and very painful death from liver failure but asprin is pretty safe stuff.

The car exhaust is out of the question too nowadays... Laughing

It's getting to the point that a gun is about the only surefire way...

Of course, there are plenty of rope tricks and other inventive ways to kill yourself, and a lot of them even take long enough for you to regret doing it half way through, when it's too late. Paracetamol is a classic one for people regretting it after a day or so, then the hospital being able to do nothing for them.

Barbiturates, if you can get them. Apparently only available on prescription however, class B like so, and class A if dissolved in water to inject.

Note that I am not condoning suicide in the slightest, just having a little fun... Rolling Eyes

Not as part of my bike insurance, but I do have a seperate personal accident policy.

Mainly because there's only me paying my rent, my bills etc - with nobody to fall back on if I was unable to work for a while, the money would be very useful to keep things going for a while.

It's a general policy - fall down some stairs, stack the car, stack the bike, they don't care, you can claim. Thumbs Up
