Hi, Guy's I'm new to this forum, bit about me 'afore I ask for the info.

Apologies Admin, if I posted in wrong section.......

Anyway, 40+ currently have Aprilia Falco & Suzuki SV1000s, previously came from SP1, R1, 'blade etc......been riding 27 years

Anyway tomorrow (weather permitting) I'm test riding a new 955i, got my heart set on black, with black frame, anyway need some info (as I've never ridden one before) what should I specifically take not of / be aware of (bearing in mind my previous rides), what's servicing costs like etc.etc. etc.

Cheers

It won't be as quick as the R1 or blade! A mate has one and he enjoys it and I have'nt heard him moan about servicing. I imagine it will be as cheap or cheaper than the bikes you mention although certainly wont have the performance.

Triumph Servicing costs are notoriously expensive - Marjay (from this forum) has the Daytona so I'm sure he can give you some decent advice, alternatively try www.t595.net it's a website dedicated to Triumph's containing friendly members who are most importantly very knowledgable when it comes to that particular subject matter.

On a sidenote what do you think of the Falco and SV1000S compared to each other?

SV1000s is a great bike for the money, suspension needs setting up, most "serious" riders have opted for a GSXR1000 rear shocker, it's a bit RAW compared to the Falco, which is a far better bike, smooth for a V Twin, Brembo brakes, handles better, but then again its £2k more, so you really do get what you pay for. I'll be keeping the SV and swapping the Falco, servicing is too expensive, it's around £3 -400 every time it see's the workshop.
