Somewhere between £600 and £1,000 depending on how good condition it's in for its age.

I've just seen your advert.

You may want to add pictures, a detailed description, service history, replaced parts, tyre condition, last time the chains and sprockets were replaced, chain condition, location and a contact number.

Tom.

£1,295 with no details and no service history? Laughing Good luck with that one.

Sell the TomTom separately and add some details to your ad, preferably lots and lots of detail.

You won't get a whole lot for it, it's an 18 year old bike with 30,000 miles on it.

You will have a much higher valuation than some punter after a hack or their first big bike. It's got to the age where people aren't willing to spend much and it isn't going to be a classic.

If you aren't in any rush, stick it on an ebay classified at your required price and be prepared for a long wait.

You and half of eBay and Gumtree.

Ste's link shows you what these bikes are actually changing hands for. Or not changing hands because the seller knows what it's worth...

It's generally nothing like what sellers are asking in classifieds, or auction reserves.

You can of course ask whatever you like, but you can't berate anyone into offering it. Be sure that you demand NO TIME WASTERS.

You're not going to be letting it go for any price unless you put some details in your advert. Wink

All a potential buyer knows is that it's got no service history but you think it's in good condition.

What's the registration?

This happens with houses too. Back in 2009 I offered £170K which I thought was a fair price for a 3 bed semi detached.

The estate agent berated me you can't offer that! It's insulting. Even though by law he had to pass on the offer. It remained unsold for years. I look at the sold indices and it sold for 135K Laughing
