You can just make out a black plastic radiator grill behind the sun glinting of the bonnet, it almost look like a Mk3 Ford Escort.

Btw and fyi the year is 1984 or thereabouts at least - so I suppose a mkIII Escort, Acclaim, or Cavalier are all probables, given how many of those cars were on the roads at that time.

Daytime running lights? I'm with dydey90, it appears to be more butch than the Cortina and that reflection could be from a chrome grill.
