Multi unit bike to bike Intercom system

more tech question so posting in here

me and a few friends want to invest in an intercom system to chat to each other out on runs
has to be 2 way and possibly multi channel to allow one to one coms
would prefer a system thats easy to add a new unit when needed
and easy to use with decent range (mile or so)

Budget?

Would you need to be able to pair/group with other makes of intercomms?

don't want to spend a fortune but also don't want to pay pennys for a crap system

none of us have any intercom's at the moment so would be easier to have a common system that can be added to when needed

Yo

Interphone fm5 have a conference talk system , you can all speak at once .
I have the interphone fm4 , great bit of kit for 2 , it does connect to more but you have to switch between them PITA .
Connects to lots of devices also has a radio , I use that a lot .
