So, lads and lasses, the pursuit for greener planet (EURO IV) just killed yet another classic motorcycle. This will be the last year the W800 will be produced. So far, there is no succesor to the W-series and Kawasaki does not seem to be keen on trying to make one. The very first W-series motorcycle was produced in 1966. Then, it was reborn with the W650 (carburetors, kickstarter) and since 2011 up till now the W800 (DFi).

The final edition will be for sale in ''candy brown'' and ''candy sunset orange'' colour scheme. The standard version will be avalible as well. No more W-series motorcycles will be produced post 1. 1. 2017.

Brown, the colour of excitement.

While they were crying into their sake, Triumph added a water jacket and 57 varieties of electronics to their Bonny/Street bikes and will happily scoop up the W800 market.

If Kawasaki don't want to evolve and compete, they can shrivel and die like... heheh... BSA.

Agree with Roger. Everyone would have to update so Kawasaki wouldn't be in a worse position market wise if they did the same. And the colour is Sick

All I can think of is Triumph, Ducati and anyone else who builds this type of bike has already taken enough sales for Kawasaki to feel it isn't viable designing/building a new engine.

I guess to Kawasaki that sentiment never converted in to sales.

Though they didn't seem to try and sell it, it's always been tucked away in the showrooms I've seen.

Any decade now.

Please, no. Not with anything like their current chassis, suspension and brakes. The ~25hp engines on the Bullet variants comfortably exceed the cycle parts.

It's a shame they're not going to update it. A bit odd, really, given that it's the sort of bike that's right 'on trend' at the moment.

Personally I quite like the brown and orange paint job Embarassed

I thought it was released in 1952; Meteor 700... superseded a decade later by the semi-unit construction Constellation..

Maybe this is the way for Enfield to go, just use existing parts to create 1000cc or 700cc twin..

Nice. Wouldn't trust it to stop any quicker than a supertanker with those brakes though. Laughing

should have been fitted with the current Enfield disc brake and possibly a head brace after looking at the shape of the frame front downtube, a bit of triangulation around that downtube would work wonders, even a bolt in part would help. Neat looking machine and no bigger than the current 350/500 single.

Kawasaki sold W650 final edition in 2009.
It was brown.

Kawasaki sells W800 final edition and it's brown again.
They like to sell final edition with brown colour.

I bet they will sell W again with maybe bore-up ER-6 engine with fake fins later.

W650 final edition
