I'm looking to buy a ZX6r but the one i'm looking at has a dented tank. Anyone got any idea how much it would cost, roughly, to get a replacement tank and have it painted?

None, but why bother? It'll go faster cos its lighter to have less petrol

Haha - i think the damage is only cosmetic Smile So, it will be retaining all the fuel.

How bad, and where is the dent? If creased, it can still be bodged.
If just dented it can be pulled without drilling. Might not end up perfect without paint and filler but better than before.

Nonono dont even bother drilling it. Ill tomorrow do some digging for what a good dent straightening is like, but if you have access to everything to make something that goes inside the tank that you can hammer on/with to straighten it.

Ill get u a pic tomorrow, im on phone now and also a bit tipsy Razz

Something like this:

https://www.dentrix.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/mt01a-22-bendable-slow-curve-65-7-16-dia.-5-16-18-screw-on-adjustable-joint-1437-p-300x137.jpg

Can be created by just hammering a rod to shape it. Ive welded some extra to the head and grinded it so it makes a spherical/oval shape to help you push out or hammer the dent out.

Yup, as originally stated no drilling required with the glue kits.
You could possibly use compressed air if the tank is single skinned.
