Hello, I was just wondering, could I get a vanvan 125 on a CBT or would I need to get an A1? Thanks. :3

That's what I did and never regretted it. Real fun bike to get you started.

Same. Rode mine for about a year before getting my licence. Rode it for another year or so after that too.

Definitely not the fastest 125 out there but they're great fun. I really regret getting rid of mine. Go for it. Thumbs Up

Van vans are class. That's what I'm going to get. They have their own forum as well.
Cheers,

If you think that's good then check our Ed March and his travels.
Various forums/Facebook/YouTube. Cool

150 is probably optimistic but it's not *that* wide of the mark. Iow, range isn't really an issue.

Furthest I got was about 130 and reckon she'd have done another 10 at least before running dry.

The do seem to differ though. The OH's ran dry at 120 so probably depends a lot on how you run them. My fuel light would come on about 110 and the OH's at 90 Confused

Laughing yeah, have to fill up on the way to Fareham.

My Honda CBF125 I rode Bedford to Fareham, Fareham to Bedford, then rode it to Cambridge and back, filled up on the way back but still had over a litre left in the tank.

but they are slow and steady bikes, you adopt a different "rhythm of life" when you ride them all the time

I'd love a Van Van for bumbling about on.

If the 250's were cheaper, more widely available or just had a smidge more power I'd have bought one already.

£3900+ OTR for 12kW, 15N.m, that 6.5 litre tank, and a tiny potential 2nd owner market on the 200 Van Van. The upside is that parts should be OK, but I'd give serious consideration to a 16kW Sinnis Retrostar 250 for £2500 instead.

After the shit I've seen happen to Sinnis bikes at my local dealers I wouldn't go near one. The guy stopped selling them earlier this year, in fact. The meagre support he was receiving from the importer et al for stuff like seized front callipers and such like all but evaporated entirely. He's been PDI-ing various bikes since the early-mid '70s and got too tired with the shit he was continually facing. That was enough for me too.

After the Retrostar experience I have also given up with Sinnis.

The newer retro range have dire exhausts where the inside tube is spot welded in 3 places. Each spot snaps eventually causing an immense annoying racket. Which cost up to £200 to replace, and then break again.

The staff at the Brighton branch are dire. Mikes OK, but the parts team never get anything right. Or send secound hand parts when you paid for new parts. Yes, unfortunately I have to agree with Kramdra on that one.

Huh, usually companies build a reputation before cashing in on it, Honnnndaaaa, I guess Sinnis just decided to skip that.

Suzuki, the field is yours.

Yes and no. If you go back to the Trackstar review the only time I ordered from them with the foot pegs, they never got sent. Kramda has had a long time issue with them and parts being second hand too.

To their credit they do try to deal with every issue. But that doesn't help much when every time you order something you end up paying a week's train fares waiting for them to resend the part they got wrong the first time or paying mechanics wages to repeat jobs or pushing the bike home 'again'.
