Hi all,

Got this bike about a month ago and have managed to recommission it as my first bike after being sat for 25 years. All has gone easy so far, happy days.

Haven't been out on it too much, took it twice down to MOT station which is 6 mile round trip. Anyway everytime I turned the fuel on, the bike would start first or second crank but would literally pour fuel out of the overflow hole underneath the engine. So I ripped the carb out and checked it all over. Carb was very clean inside and everything seems good. Whilst having it open I bent the tab on the float that touches the pin, in order to try and restrict the fuel flow just a tad. Have put it all back together and now the leak is totally gone - fuel goes through to carb but doesn't leak. But engine won't start at all now. Fuel on, fuel off, choke on, choke off, bit of throttle, nothing. Won't start. Any ideas? Bike definitely has ignition as lights come on and haven't messed with ignition at all.

Thanks

Cheers.

I took it apart again, bent the tab back just a little and found a sweet spot. Runs like a dream. Now to sort the knackered clutch...
