these are people on facebook in a local page I use

first of all there was the person wanting to pay more for bathroom scales as they couldn't grasp that a shop sells them new for less money

now had a person unplug a gas cooker and take it outside and wonder why the house smells of gas
they now want someone to help but cant pay for a gas fitter

also on a local jobsite I put an ad saying I was looking for work
ive had two replies both saying they are interested in the job

someone else I know cant work out that because her house sold for 100 grand that she doesn't get all that as the mortgage company gets it as it wasn't fully paid off
was a 150 grand house til she wrecked it she had paid about 50 grand off and ended up with 900 quid

and that's just a few off the top of my head

I'm sure people were never this stupid before

Local Facebook pages give a great insight in to the kind of people that we live amongst.

Mine is exactly the same. Had a woman last week trying to put a plug on a new cooker she'd bought and she stated She DID NOT NEED AN ELECTRICIAN.

Turns out she was trying to put the plug on the huge twin and earth cable that normally wires in to the cooker point but she couldn't get it to fit

Then the armchair electricians turn up with "the cable is bigger because it's a higher voltage" and "you need to wire it directly in to the back of a double socket"



I laugh, but it's frightening.

Thanks to social media, someone on a forum got exposed to some of the thick people that have always been there and expressed surprise at this.

Dumbest thing I've seen on the Leeds community page is when people post photos of dumped motorbikes saying, "Saw this in X park this morning."

Or in other words: "Hi Leeds. There's a bike dumped in this park, I haven't told the police yet and I'm giving you all a heads up on its whereabouts, and here's a photo to help you locate it."

Also a lot of people moan about piffling trivialities. "Can't believe the council haven't picked up this crisp wrapper yet." That kind of thing.

The ones I see are where they use "no" instead of "know" or other crap short hand. They always want something "cheapest", as if someone wants them "expensive". having it done for a disabled or elderly relative seems to make things more urgent or wanted even cheaper.
Most of the requests would be easier to find out using basic Google.

My local Facebook page had someone post up that she complained to a breastfeeding mother that her feeding her child in the local park was making her husband uncomfortable. The mother then allegedly squirted the woman in the face with breastmilk.

Naturally the Daily Fail picked up on it and everyone went batshit that they were famous for five minutes.

We also had "if anyone sees that slag _____ and my husband _______, tell them they are welcome to each other and I've burnt all of his clothes! Hahaha!"

or she is suing them or going round to take it


she now lives in a 1 bedroomed flat as her three kids got taken away and live with the dad so not sure why she needs a shed or where she will put it
