Where have all the pannier racks gone?!

Hi guys,

Posting because I want to get a pannier rack that also comes with a top box rack so that I have some storage space now that I'm doing some long distance riding. My rucksack is killing my back and they say they're unsafe anyway. But I can't seem to find a rack for my GSF600y 2001! I think I found a rear rack but the sides are what I'm more interested in. I'm not too concerned about boxes that actually fit (though that would be good for the future) I'm really just after a rack that I can tie bags and tents etc.

So why can't I find any racks when searching for"GSF600Y 2001 pannier racks"? Someone told me they're universal but I'm not so sure of that and I've seen nothing to confirm. Can anyone tell me if they are or maybe even send me any links to something that's compatible with my bike?

As far as I know, the business end of the K model is the same as the 2001 Y - i.e. a single "side to side" rear grab rail rather than two side rails?
