I'm looking to buy a licence for Windows 7 - (to go on a VirtualBox)
I've seen this on Amazon - probably borderline legal:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Windows-Home-Premium-Product-BRANDED/dp/B017813HWQ/

Is that about the best price I'll find?

I have something called Darren's loader I think, pretty sure that's what I used to activate mine.

I'll get more info when I get home.

I've had the 'please activate' popup for multiple years on my VM. Apart from the black wallpaper and the odd 'ding' it doesn't seem to do anything much.

Popping back in as I'm installing W7 on an older laptop. I actually have a licence for this, except not really, because half of the numbers have rubbed off the sticker. Laughing A month or whatever with the ability to actually change the wallpaper. Bliss.

What needs to be done to avoid W10 update fuckery? I've blocked KB2952664, KB3021917 - can't find KB3035583 (might appear after the next round gets done). I don't use automatic updates, just check frequently.

Win10 is no longer free that ended at the end of July. It won't prompt you to update or shouldn't. My win 7 doesn't.

Forgot about that. Excellent. I fixed it on my VM a while back and forgot how.

Cheers Thumbs Up
