Yerpians. Them love them some maxi-scootay.

It's not a crazy idea for the UK either. The ickle wheels on my Burgman were a bit of a chore on our 3rd world roads.

Many two wheel heroes in Limassol, where it would be seen as cool!

The problem is you're looking at it from a purely UK perpective.
They love their scoots in all the Med countries, there are hordes of 'em rampaging up and down every street in every village, town and city!

What he said. Places like Monaco and Cannes are full of Maxi-scoots.

I guess I am. I can't see why anyone would want more than a 250/500(max) scooter and really can't see any use for a 750. Especially an 'adventure' style one.
If they sell any in this country then I suspect they'd quickly become the most stolen 'bike' as a percentage of the number sold. Every Ped-boy would be circling any area where one is known to be parked up Laughing

i thought the selling points for a scooter were.
no chain
good storage
a bit of weather protection.
this seems to have ignored all of that.
selling points for an off road style bike.
lots of suspension travel,
wheels big enough to get over small obsticals,
plenty of ground clearance.
this seems to have ignored that.
making something shit at the the two markets it aims at,
its a winner.

Problem with Maxi Scooters is they're stupidly expensive for what they are. You can get a much better motorcycle for the same money. 125 scooters make a lot of sense in the UK, Maxis don't.

Here's the 2nd of the promo vids; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCj74WnXs9w
I still think it's a waste of their energy.
IMO it's too big for a scooter and too crap for a bike... Laughing

It will either sell very well or quietly disappear from the market. I can see people that are not vertically gifted buying this though. Motorcycles with manual gearboxes can be intimidating for non-riders.

Why would they pay the premium to buy this instead of a 250/400 scooter?

I think BMW do a 650 scooter. Not sure if it sold well or not but they can sell on 'Brand' over quality, so what's Honda going to sell it on?
