A few days back, you could see 2 pictures, that leaked from Zagato company and I thought this was gonna be a new small series motorcycle. Well, this F4Z is a custom build by Zagato for one Japanese entrepreneur and there won't be any other exemplars of this motorcycle. Anyway, it does look interesting, therefore I'm posting this in the News. Based on the F4 RR, the fairings are made out of aluminium and carbon fiber composit. Zagato does not say, how much the Japanese customer paid for this, but I'd say it was not cheap.

Could be seen in Europe, the next weekend at the Art & Elegance show, Chantilly - France.

I like it mainly because it looks different from the usual angular straight lines on the R1 ZX10 etc.
Curves are timeless.

Having said that it is using an evolution of an engine that was first designed almost 20 years ago. The suspension appears to be Marzocchi forks and Sachs on the rear which far from being budget are certainly not high end, as are those calipers which to my eye look like old P4 Brembos.

The bars look higher than the F4 so could be a comfy bike.
Nice touch having the tank and airbox hidden by the bodywork and I'd like to think it's made from aluminium (bet it's not).
The F4 is a hot bike and that bodywork around the 4-1 exhaust better be heatproofed like a reentry shield.

Being harsh....Old dog in new clothes.

Just a rip off of the Suzuki Nuda?

It's not good. Not really in any way.

I'm really not sure.

It goes from stunning to fugly and back to stunning as I look.

Whether I would think the same if it wasn't Italian exotica I am really not sure though.

Would I buy one to ride? No.

Would I like one in my lounge to view? No, better examples on offer.

I'm sure the Japanese buyer has his reasons, but whilst it's far from being off limits you can park it elsewhere.
