Had to wait until 8th Oct for availability though but excited already

Neat, who are you going with for training?

If you haven't done any tests at Shieldhall yet, look out for unmarked junctions. They are (or were) mad keen on them. Treat as a give way, slow right down, ignore DVSA Derek riding right up your tailpipe and you'll be good.

I did my CBT with bike rite but having heard great things about Gordon at Sharper I have booked in with him. Helps that he is 2 mins from my house too.
I've not been over that way for a while but I am from Govan so know my way around the area Thumbs Up

Ah, right, a few folk here have recommended him. Sounds like a smart idea compared to gambling on whichever instructor you might get from a school on any given day.

Going for a block of lessons, or spreading it out?

Minor point which I'm sure you already appreciate, but knowing an area as a pedestrian is different from knowing the roads in that area.
It does help but you'll still need to really look at the road signs Laughing

Don't know at the moment. Because I didn't do my CBT with him I have to go for an assessment lesson so I'll see what he says.

My preference would be a block though. If I can get it done and dusted before the end of the year I'd be happy. If not next summer as that's when I want to buy another bike

Yeah, I'm the type of person who will be driving / riding over that direction before my test. Thumbs Up

I thought they shut down Shieldhall?

It's still showing on https://www.dft.gov.uk/fyn

14 week(!) wait for car tests, 2 weeks for mod 1, 1 week for mod 2.
