Just curious if wind noise's an issue for anyone else and what you do about it? Wearing ear plugs (or headphones) seems a bit foolish as your ears do a good job of keeping you alive, but helmet wise there doesn't appear to be much that covers your ears, except those full face downhill MTB type helmets.
I've never worn a helmet and TBH the full face ones look a little childish. If I was to wear one I'd quite like...

Not so much noise but I can get earache if there's a cold wind.
I have one of those fleece earband things for when that's an issue.
Annoys the shit out of my wife, she thinks it looks stupid because it's essentially a hat with no top so I take every oppertunity to wear it. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Interesting. Looks like a DIY version shouldn't be that hard, although it does mean wearing a helmet. |

I wear earbuds most of the time when I'm cycling in London.
It's certainly more dangerous than not, but for me it's a bit overrated - there's so much going on, random horns beeping everywhere in the distance etc, that I don't find it much of a hindrance.
Not to block wind noise though, I don't ride my bike at 50mph much. |
