Bought a bike from someone couple of weeks ago, tried to sorn it, couldn't due to not having new v5c (error stated prev owner hadn't yet informed them)

Roll on couple of weeks, received v5, tried to sorn online, could not, showed currently sorned so not possible.

Now received a 'Last Chance!' letter to tax or sorn....
tried it online....computer says no as already showing as sorned.... Laughing fucking mongs.

Guess i'll have a fun fun convo with dvla dimwit tomorrow Confused

You can, it just doesn't accept it.... but it will let you tax it online with that number Rolling Eyes

I just wait for the V5 to come through now before even trying.... let them take me to court

Allegedly you can, for me it didn't work, just said they've not changed it over yet so its presently sorned.

Regardless, I've had the v5c, in my name to my address and I still can't sorn it..because it says its already sorned...but get a letter saying I need to sorn it. Dicks

Why would you show it anywhere other than in a court?

That's my policy with the DVLA and HMRC. Never initiate, never respond. Keep my records square and ignore them until and unless a summons hits the mat - which it's yet to do despite several bawwws from them.
