Had to happen sooner or later.
Lucky for me it was at very slow speed and no one was hurt.
no visible damage to my bike , however dent to drivers door of car.

details are

-------------------------------------------------------------

20/09/2016
Aprox 2.30/2.40pm

Traveling south on the A3216 (Chelsea Bridge road)
Filtering past slow moving lines of cars.
as I get close to the bus stop the car behind the bus (Black VW FY08 ---)
Pulls out from behind bus, (i'm along side the car at this point)
I break and move towards middle of road.
contact is made at very low speed.
I stay upright and pull around the car and stop at the side of the road.
Some details are exchanged.

Contact is between my engine protector and the other cars driver’s door.

Car reg is Fy08 ---
Driver is XYZ.
I give XYZ all my details and insurance details.

Curtis take my number and promises to send me his details.

--------------------------------------

im telling myself that i was allowed to be there and i was driving safely (hence the low speed)
i'm fairly certain the car driver moved and indicated as a single action and failed to see my beside him.

what is my next step ?

--------
Just removed the blokes registration..Not sure if good idea or not to have it here

You fragile fool! Why didn't you brake instead? You might have missed him then!

Hope he does not call....

Bet you were slap bang in his blind spot...

Bus stopped at bus stop and cars behind = DANGER do not pass.... Especially if there is room for a car to get passed.

you are correct...
the bus had not stopped but i think it might have indicated it was going to stop.
I think he car just reacted to the bus and pulled out without looking.

as he didn't give his details.
im unsure what to do now.

Why did he not give you his details? Have you checked his car's even insured?

To be honest in this case it's probably better not to be considering he suffered no damage.

This.

Better to not be involved in a non-fault claim if you have the choice.

Stop thinking and start knowing.

Write down what happened, eg

Was overtaking slower moving traffic, as I came to pass the car behind the bus he moved out into me, I had not seen an indicator.

If you don't know something for certain, then you don't know so the fact the bus might have started indicating as you passed the polo is for someone else to suggest, say what you know and stick to it.

If you didn't see the polo indicate then you didn't see - why would you move alongside it if you saw it was indicating? - you wouldn't.

It'll more than likely be on the buses cctv system. Getting hold of it though may be a challenge.

Well Curtis has still not called to offer up his details or discuss.
i took a photo of the damage to his door and looking at it now the damage really isn't much to speak about.
