Ebay hassle

I'm just wondering what the odds are of winning this case are.

I'm the seller, I sold a jacket (basically new however I did list it as used), I uploaded accurate pictures detailing size however in the listing description I stated it as a 44 when it was a 42.

The pictures on the ad clearly show it being a 42, me being a twat typod and put 44.

The buyer has obviously opened a case "item not as described" and stated in the message "Immediate refund now, size is 42 not 44 as stated, also its cut too small for me its also a womens jacket".

For me the only query is the sizing error, the low cut is because its a leather sport bike jacket, he clearly doesn't understand this. But he does have a case about the typo. I've not refunded him yet as I stated I will let ebay decide what happens.

So what are my chances here? Worst case scenario I have to pay return postage, refund him and re sell. Best case I win the case and save the hassle. Either outcome is fine just i'd prefer less hassle.

Worst case is that you pay return postage and receive an empty package.

I'd apologise and offer to arrange for a courier to pick it up. The buyer has the whip hand here.

You're not going to win that eBay dispute. The cut and whether it is or isn't a womans jacket are besides the point.

Do not refund it until you've got the jacket or it's in the hands of a BCFer.

Can't blame buyer if it's smaller than stated though no need for aggression. How hard is it to check details carefully as a seller.
It's not as if he's quibbling over a little mark or zip tag missing.

Some jackets the zip does go the other side on a womans. I noticed one the other day and thought the same. It's not obvious until you are fastening it and it feels odd - though some US jackets are the other way round I think!

It's not /that/ far from where I live - but its not north west of sussex (which would be dead easy for me) its South East - which is a total bastard to drive from here.

I know that there are other BCFers that live much closer, but its upto them what they do or do not volunteer.

I think the suggestion was a BCF'er picks it up and sends it via courier to you - so you can ensure you get back your jacket.

However, at the end of next month I am taking a trip up to North Yorkshire in the car - if you could bother your self with a trip over the A66.

Still don't want to drive to the far side of Hastings though.
