Good price or not?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-pcx-125-Scooter-Excellent-Condition-/122153834166?

I am looking at this instead of a new one, would need to add £100 or so to the price (delivery charge) so £1800.

Yay or nay?

You know what's better than a scooter with just 1218 miles and a year until the first MOT?

One with 0 miles, 3 years until the first MOT, and 2 years warranty.

If you're buying something for one winter or to tide you over for at most 2 years until you do A2, then I'd look for something older and cheaper. And no way, no how, would I buy sight unseen and get it delivered.

If you're looking for a long term cheap commuter, I'd seriously consider buying new. The PCX is available for £99 down and 0% at the moment. eBay suggests that you can get one for £2400 + OTR.

Ah, I see you've done the sums already.

Nope, that one in the advert isn't cheap enough. I'd ignore the alarm. The invalid blanket and muffs are a nice touch, but it's still not a compelling purchase.

If you really want it, I'd let the auction run out, then (regardless of result) offer him £1500.

Cheers for the reply Rogerborg.

I know I can get one for £2,399 new so like you say that is the way to go I think considering I don't want any hassles with it.

If you're getting one as a long term commitment, sure.

If you're just dabbling, then I'd go cheap.
