New tent needed

After this weekends antics I need a new tent that rolls up small enough to strap to the bike I'd had my old one for years can anyone recommend a decent 1 man tent problem is I'm on a budget of £100 for one.

Why a 1 man? How small/light do you need to go? The best 1 man tent is a 2 man. Vango Banshee 200 fits your budget, fits on a bike OK.

I bought the Banshee 200 from Go Outdoors for about 90 quid. Used it for a long weekend in Wales - it got very wet. Survived well and the little porch was just enough for my gear.

Gutted I passed on the opportunity to buy a new Banshee 200 a couple of years ago. It had been erected at a camping exhibition, and someone spilled orange juice in it - they were asking £25 tif I took it away as is.

I know nothing about tents (IMO why use a tent when you can use a B&B, and now I'm older ) but Millets have a sale on including tents, if you can stomach buying from a Mike Ashley business

On a serious note - listen to those above about a 1 man. You have nowhere to put/dry your kit.

The Vango Banshee 200 is a good tent. Also look at a used Terranova Trisar 2. You can find them for under a ton if you look. Light enough, will withstand anything short of a hurricane. I wildcamp regularly with it, on the bike. Hell, I wildcamp with a Hurricane 200 which is double the weight, but will withstand anything a UK mountain can throw at it.

Quechua, Quick Hiker, Ultra Light 2.

If you can go the extra tenner, you could get one of these. Better than a banshee 200 in every respect (I lived in one of those for 3 months). Also smaller and lighter when packed.

It's my current lightweight tent, I was in it this weekend.

I think my 3 man is a Vango Tempest and it was ~120 quid.
The 2 man should be doable for 100 and is realistically room for one plus bags, or two budding romantic partners.
