Suzuki Gsx1250fa - exhaust fitting

In my 4th week of my love affair with my new bike. She gives me everything I want and need... Except NOISE

She is a big powerful girl and I want her to announce it.

I want to hear her growl when I turn her on. I want her to snarl when filtering rather than politely creeping up on cagers. I want her to roar when she takes off!
I am checking out online if there is an exhaust out there that will give me that - or if not at least something a bit louder - and then she will be perfect for me.
Anyway - was wondering if anyone in Glasgow or surrounding area can recommend places that fit bike exhausts and whether they supply or you buy it and take it in?

First time I've looked at one of these; is that a Bandit under there? Looks like a GSX-R and a CBRXX had a fling and this was the result!

If you're just after a nice noise rather than seeking performance gains (which are quite difficult to get with exhaust tuning unless you do a bunch of other things with it) then just go for a 'slip-on'. Easy DIY job that will save you £££'s over getting a garage to do it. Good ones will even come with instructions!

If you really don't want to get dirty fingers though, any garage will be able to fit one. May be a good idea to go to a proper bike mechanic though and build up a rapport with him/her/them, as if you won't fit an exhaust you'll need a good place you trust for servicing and any other work.

As for what exhaust...? If it's just to un-baffle it don't go spending mega bucks, but it is worth getting one that's 'recognised', for quality of finish if nothing else.
Personally I would get one that's got a bit of length to it rather than a 'stubby'; it'll suit the design of the bike better.

Just leave it standard and stop being an exceptional individual. Changing an exhaust unless it's for performance reasons or practical reasons (corrosion / crash damage and availability or price of the standard pipe) is autistic as fuck.

Something else to bear in mind; OE systems are often (though not always) of a much higher quality than the average after market jobbie. Also, although a slip on shouldn't after your bike's fueling, it might. This will then mean adjustment to get it running right; could be too much effort for a bit of rort...

I've had good results with Fuel exhausts on Bandit 600s, plus they're made in the UK too.

I know what you mean though, those GSXFs are almost silent aren't they! Anyone who can't see the benefit of a louder exhaust in an urban environment clearly hasn't much experience of suicidal pedestrians.

I haven't had one but friend says his Black Widow exhaust is excellent. Haven't seen or heard it yet but worth looking into.
