Armies of the world, ranked in size.

Russia and America are smack talking away like fools, Syria is still just unbridled what the fuckery, and the South China Sea situation hasn't gone away. And now the uninterrupted hell of the American election has continued to sink even lower.

Any pre-match bets?

And how many businesses make a fortune off the back off all this unstable shite? How many states use it to create repressive laws?

Nobody wants a massive global conflict but many benefit from ensuring it appears we are always teetering on the edge of one.

What is this? A pissing contest? Now for the list of the top 25 safest countries in the world (Czech rep is 6th, UK never made the list). Razz

Talking about numbers of soldiers is nice, but this is not 1930's/40's anymore. Nowadays, the whole cities may disapear from the surface of the planet Earth, with just a flick of a button. The WW3 won't be fought on foot.

No boots will be put on the ground of a nuclear armed state, but everywhere else is fair game.

It's OK though, the folk in charge know that it's just a game. They square off to curry favour at home, but they won't push it too far. There are no current Hitlers, in the sense of anyone crazy enough and armed enough to kick it all off.

Because there's nothing in it for him personally. Clinton is just a puppet for the corporates (her words, not mine) and will do what she's damn well told to.

If war looks like good business for Lockheed Martin, it'll be JDAM Justice time.

Putin does make some good points.

anyone who has played MGS4 will see that we have gotten the stage of proxy wars that keep things ticking over.

I can guarantee that we will never have all the details - heck most of the details of WWI are not known, even less about WWII, which was (imho) the first intelligence led war where things happened behind the scenes that no one other than those need to know, knew.

now think about how much we have moved since then, a lot more "stuff" is buried so that countries can be high an mighty over other countries.
Rumour has it, that some of the ISIS beheadings actually happened in a studio state side.
That's the problem there is so much rumour and here say out there you will never be able to tell what's the truth and what's not.

It's no rumour

A UK firm was paid 500 million by the CIA to make Al Quada videos.

If we assume that its not all a ruse to throw somebody of on something else that they may have been getting to close too, or for kick and giggles.

you are not only one M.C. even with dyslexia its quicker easier to go through a list than listen to someone ramble on in a video.

I have seen some ISIS videos that are fake, clearly once someone points it out. Some of the explosions are a bit OTT and special effects, the editing itself isn't bad at all but when you see the size of the device and the bluring in the background as the explosion goes off.

It's funny just how much Libya/Gaddafi are coming in to this.

Libyans for the most part loved Gaddafi, and he was ousted by the US.

He was, an incredibly prophetic man, and it is interesting to see just how much he has said is coming to pass.

Gaddafi addressing Arab leaders (including Assad) about the concern they should have regarding the treatment of Saddam by the US

Gaddafi warning of the African migrant tide that would come after Libya was toppled - Middle bit is Libyan (biased) history, but the final five minutes (13mins on) is quite interesting Putin slamming them.

That is their logic for backing Assad, apparently. The base isn't all that important, they are just not willing to see another regime toppled by the US illegally.

Putin explaining Russia's unpopular stance backing Assad (2013)

The accent in this is insane, but he really does a great no-bullshit rundown of how Syria got to here within 5 minutes... fairly neutral bias actually

It's interesting just how long this has been building, and how well we have ostriched away from it.
