We have gone one better on this forum. Check out our 'workshop' section where you can get all the advice you need to maintain your bike. All given freely with no expectations of returned favours, although sometimes we get a 'thank you'.

Welcome to the forum, why 2004 in your username? Is it half term yet?

I'll share my internet stalking skillz. Thumbs Up

I wonder how many of the people on your site are genuine and how many are just names and photos you've pulled from Facebook.

I also wonder if you are real...

This screams out "Year 8 IT school project".

You haven't explained what the site is really about, you've given us no incentive to click your link (other than curiosity) and your post appears to be written by a 12 year old, which would explain the 2004 in your user name.

3/10 Must do better.

Credit where credit is due, it's a better website than the ones Adam Aarons has made. Thumbs Up

Their twitter has been going since last year and they've bought 800 followers and 3,500 likes.

I reckon it's made by an adult. Not the smartest of adults but an adult nonetheless.

Is the website a project you're doing for school?

You get schemes like this on the local news, teach me about plastering and i'll show you how to tap dance kinda thing. Not sure myself, generally I've found teaching people stuff a waste of time, they either don't get it or they do but don't appreciate your efforts. Also in the time you're teaching someone you could be learning what you want to learn.

1) 2004 was a shit year, so I'm never going to support you.
2) There are lots of websites already that offer instructionals and tuition for either money (the standard unit of exchange) or nothing. The only time tit-for-tat tuition makes any sense is in language learning, and people usually find Skype partners for their target language acquisition practice on social networks.

If I want to replace my bike, I could post on here in the right section asking if anyone has any variant of an XT600/XT660 that's working, for swapz.
It might work.
Then again, I could just sell my bike and use this thing called 'money' to scour Ebay and Gumtree for any variant of an XT600/XT660 that's working.
Which one is more likely to work?

I like how the homepage features a member from every single conceivable race, just to avoid offending someone. But wait, it's not all of them, not at all. Where is the Inuit representation??

Expect a strongly worded (and cold) letter good sir.

I'll keep it in mind, thanks. The MT-03 is a fantastic bike, but as I already have a perfect-running middleweight bike with new chain and sprockets, tyres with lots of life, etc. I could only justify such a swap if it met a long-term goal. As I've had a soft spot for the Yamaha XT since about 1987, I'm really looking for a complete change in bike style, ideally to one of those.

I could offer my skills in telling people about 'LETS' - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=local+exchange+trading+system ..

Did we need a new wheel that does exactly the same as other wheels?

Ah, but LETS isn't a start-up tempting the 12 year old designer into thinking that he's going to make trillions of dollars (I would use pounds but if they keep dropping in the way they have recently you'll need a couple of thou to buy a loaf of bread....). Laughing

Kid, if you can fix the exhaust on my GPZ, I'll teach you the recipe for pasta fagiole.

If you can come and lay my flooring whilst you're about it, I'll show you how to make real pavlovas.

Another new fight club Bikechatforums rule is that fight club Bikechatforums will always be free. It will never cost to get in.

"We want you, not your money. As long as you're in fight club Bikechatforums, you're not how much money you've got in the bank. You're not your job. You're not your family, and you're not who you tell yourself. You're not your name. You're not your problems. You're not your age. You are not your hopes. You will not be saved. We are all going to die, someday."

If I want to find out about something I can Google for it. If I need more info I can post to whatever forum I've found, or email someone directly. Why do I need a website like CareToShare? It's pointless.
