Parking ticket advice

Hello BCF,

Loking for some advice

18 Sept - Was in Newquay, driving and with a toddler who'd just fallen asleep in the back. Decided to park up at Fistral overlooking the sea.

~30mins later toddler woke up, we left car park. We never got out the car.

Today, a PCN lands on the mat - £60 for not paying - rising to £100 if not paid within 14 days of date of letter (letter has arrived 20 days after its date...... )

Dammit.

Google maps suggests the signs are clearly visible.

So, do I accept ill need to pay £60 & write this one off to experience as part of the cost of having kids, or worth a challenge? (Will be challenging the £100 if they try to go there...)

Pepipoo with all the right info, details of signs etc. Post up everything they want in their sticky thread, and you'll get an answer back with how to tackle.

Unfortunately some monkey called Beavis took a half baked case to the Mother Superior and screwed it all up for everyone, so the landscape has changed quite a bit. That's not to say these cheating knobs and their scumbag lawyers know the ins and outs of it though, or even bother trying to get to grips with it as, for every one that fights, there's 10 that don't.

Read the various threads, etc, I've cocked up and replied to the PCN already - I don't know why; Ive had success in the past against DVLA & Police following very standard approaches.

£60 quid is going to be less than the value of time searching around and asking advice what to do
