If you can find an appropriate carb from a bike that has a seperate tank you might be able to do it. I know some bikes use pumps for the 2 stroke, so you'd have to be aware of that as well.

Yeah, you could get a carb or intake manifold with an oil feed, but the hard part is pumping the oil. You are going to need to drive the oil pump from the engine, on bikes with this already in place the pump is built into the crankcase. Then you will need to get a cable from the throttle assembly to operate the pump. Unless there is some way to do this without the use of a pump?

Sounds like a lot of hard work, no idea if it is even possible (within reason). At least with premix you don't have to worry about the pump failing Smile

I doubt it, I've tried calling manufacurers about such things and they will just pass you onto a garage that won't have a clue.

You need to find someone that knows about these bikes, or at least know what sort of carbs should be compatible.

I prefer pre-mix 2-strokes anyway. You know that the bike has the right amount of oil in there and don't need to worry about the pump seizing, an oil-line blocking or the oil tank running out without you noticing.

I used to keep a small bottle with enough oil for say four litres (80ml of oil if you are running at 50:1) under the saddle for emergencies. I have seen people fit a bicycle water bottle holder to the bike and keep a thing of 2-stroke in it.
