Not me, you're not that unlucky. I mean stripping wooden doors. I've got 6 I need to strip varnish off so I can stain them and rehang.

Hopefully this will save me the £800 asking for replacement ones. Wood is pine and so far I've managed to sand down one, well half of one, it's taking forever even with an electric sander. Nitromors is crap and messy.

Any tips?

I sent some nice wooden doors away to be stripped of nearly 70 years worth of paint. They came back without a spot of paint on them. Trouble was that they came back with the wood cracked and shrunk from the process. They were 70-80 year old cheap doors that looked goos because they had 70 years of paint on them. Ironic or what?

What this guy said.
I've restripped pine doors in a couple of flats i've been at, many years of paint, but all clearly done by a mong, so easier to lift than something well applied.
EDIT: Having said that, they were painted, only varnish I've stripped I used an old paint stripper in a tin my Dad had, but they stopped making it. (Because Hippies)

Don't use dichloromethane, because it works and therefore the EU banned it.

Also it will kill you.

Someone I know did the same and ended up with identical results.

I bought some of that off ebay and done a 3 to 1 mix with nitromors..... which seemed to work really well on one of my VFR wheels
