Out for a day with some friends, covered about 270 miles.

Met in Skipton, then up to Devils Bridge and on to Bowness on Windermere

https://imageshack.com/a/img922/7456/2jOZPu.jpg

Then another friend on his fireblade joined us so we decided to use the ferry.

https://imageshack.com/a/img922/2165/ZL3oOq.jpg
https://imageshack.com/a/img922/7828/pwt96i.jpg

And on up to the Wrynose Pass

And a short ride from there for Sunday dinner at the Newfield Inn

Then home again, I can't praise the MT-10 enough, just need to work on the chimp that rides it Laughing

Splendid day. Props to Waffles for bike + upgrades and munching miles to get there. And to the Brighton Benders who were sound.....albeit needing piss breaks every 30 seconds. To Conan for filling the place with 2t smoke. And to Lee for mending his R6 with the perfect measure of WOT (and asking a nice lady on another R6 to see the size of her box Shocked ).
Props to me for not getting lost on way to Ace for first time ever Very Happy

When its frosty and dark all the time, going to miss days like that for a while at least Thumbs Up

I pottered about Snowdonia, the only picture I got was by Electric Mountain, Llanberis. Every other layby/stop/photo opportunity was choc-a-bloc with cars so I didn't bother squeezing in anywhere. Half term sucks!

Similar in the Lake District today, so only stopped for shots in a few places. I had hoped to catch the colours of autumn, as the Lakes is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Britain at this time of year, but I wasn't too successful. You really have to be on foot to do it justice.

First snap, with the Coledale fells in the background:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN7913_zpszidalm68.jpg

The Coledale Round is one of the finest walks in the region, which I did last month:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN7918_zpsa3ck0f1w.jpg

After a stop for a bacon butty at Keswick, headed along towards Borrowdale, with a brief stop and short walk along Derwent Water shore. Maiden Moor:

Skiddaw:

Borrowdale:

High Spy:

Yes, I was stood in the middle of the river for this shot, and can happily say that my A* boots are properly waterproof Smile :

How much are you paying someone for those pictures? Laughing

I don't know where a man has to go to see scenery like that, it's like there's another UK I've never seen!

Glad to hear your getting out on your bike after the recent procedure down stairs. Your doing very well if you can ride a bike already IMO. Before my gonads were removed, I had balls like a large orange. Riding a bike just wasn't happening, and trying to ride my MTB wasn't a success either, as it felt like I had a bag of apples hanging off the front of the saddle.

I couldn't walk properly for a week after, and couldn't go swimming either for 10days, which pissed me off the most of all. I did manage to put some 125 stickers on my bike though.

Apparently you were so drunk at the BBQ, you don't recall the impromptu removal of your nuts because you would rather fry up your own bollocks than face another of Dave's burgers!

In another thread another gentleman had talked about checking his bits, finding an issue and getting them removed.
Steveo as b4 came on and said something like "well done Chickenstrip, get well soon". I guess it's stuck in his mind now.

I thought MCN had an evil look on his face when he served me that haggis! Shocked

From Dundee, over Glenshee to Ballater where I met two good friends for coffee and a bacon roll. From there, we headed back West towards Braemar then turned off for the Tomintoul road (A939, fantastic) and back to see my folks in Aberdeen via Alford. Lovely morning for it, if a bit nippy up by the Ski centre over Glenshee!

A favourite Lake District route again today:

Today's Route

Still trying to capture autumn. I couldn't get the bike in any of the shots because I stopped in some dodgy places or just where it wouldn't be in shot, in an effort to get some views I haven't already snapped.

Borrowdale:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN7978_zpsvp825jyg.jpg

Buttermere and Mellbreak:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN7988_zpsx9xg74ki.jpg

Heading towards Coniston:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN7994_zpshipaizw8.jpg

Coniston; I've been meaning to get this shot for ages, but there's not really anywhere to stop unless you just stop in the middle of the road....so I did Razz :

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN8003_zpsunk6szj9.jpg

Don't know why I've never spotted this view before; Grasmere and Helm Crag:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/DSCN8007_zpsqb9452m5.jpg

I've also kept meaning to stop to snap Carlisle castle in the sunset light; finally got around to it today:
