Hi All Smile

Hope someone can help, recently purchased an 06 CB1300. The previous owner did not look after it well so the first thing was to give it a mini service, Air and oil filter, oil and spark plug change and replacement.
The Bike has an after market exhaust (Evo) and has has the flapper valve mod done.
Since the service it runs like a pig, its fine for around 15 mins then it judders and pops all over the place with the rev needle dipping below 1.
I've whipped the plugs off and they do look like its running lean, so i done a bit of research and bought and fitted a booster plug and K&N filter. The booster plug allows it to run a bit richer and attaches onto the AIT sensor (its a cheaper alternative to the power commander). Did that help ? NO...Still Juddering and popping like hell. Any ideas Sad
Thanks

Booster plug is just masking the problem. Sure you haven't just disturbed or damaged a vacuum line?

No not the fuel line. There are four vacuum pipes between the cylinders, check the connections and pipes for cracks. Vacuum leak would make it run like a pig.

Might be something simple as that, could be more complicated FI bumfuckery like a wibbly o2 sensor or an exhaust leak. Does it pop and burble on the overrun?

aka 'overrun'.

Check for exhaust leaks, blown header pipe gaskets. Check you haven't kinked the fuel line when you put the tank back down. Fuel filter could also be clogged.

If the FI system is at fault the boosterplug could just be exacerbating the issue sending the ECU all over the shop. IIRC the plug just 'fools' the ECU into thinking incoming air is 20 degrees lower, thus richening up the mix (jump in and correct me anyone) so with a dicked o2 sensor who knows which way it'd jump.
