He doesn't look very big like a 14 year old kid maybe.

As above, but... how did the copper's presence there, waving futilely at Chavvy McCross, contribute to Neighbourhood Safety? Thinking

It occurs to me that if that had been reported or even filmed by Joe Public that they'd likely have no-crimed / no-further-actioned it.

Given the fact the rider appears to be wearing actual motocross gear, including body armour and a helmet, I'd surmise it's not the usual chav with stolen bike deal. Chavs tend not to buy body armour, that suggests it's a kid into motocross whose parents have sprung for the protective gear.

Controlled powerslide through the trees as they transitioned from pavement to wet grass also sugests a fair degree of offroad experience.

I'd suggest it's some schoolboy motocrosser who is in all probability down for a thick ear, being locked in his room and and the bike going on gumtree if his parents see the video.

Would have made epic crash-cam footage.

My supposition is that he was on his way somewhere quiet and out of the way, and would have got there a lot more safely without the "Oi! Rozzer! Halt!"

I'm not talking about the legalities, or even the rights-and-wrong, just the practicalities.

Doubt he's a full on chav, appeared to be wearing full gear. I have my doubts whether he could of stopped in time without the police man there though.

Looks OK to me. He only moved to the right and started caning it when he spotted Constable McWavey. Idiotic move, but idiots gotta idiot.
