Stumbled across this linked from another story:
https://www.essexlive.news/a12-motorcyclist-was-doing-130-mph-with-no-license-or-insurance-before-coming-off-bike/story-29842962-detail/story.html

And here's the lad in question by the looks of things:
https://www.facebook.com/declan.merritt.3

Interesting. Looks totes BakLaff.

Just take a read through the solicitor's defence of his actions. Amazing.

So what we're saying that 99% of bikers are law abiding citizens?

Maybe they should make up some badges reading something like #bykelyfe and stitch it to the back of their jacket so they'd all know who each other are? They'd want people to know where they come from, so that could be on another badge underneath it. Then maybe a smaller badge showing that they are the 1%?

All they then need to do is pick a colour and a logo to go in the middle.

Revolution?

I am sure that would be nice.

That 1% badge is sure to attract the attention of some gentlemen who might might pop along and point out the error of their silly boyish ways in a non-specific but effective manner Laughing

Worth repeating here. Damned if they don't, prosecuted if they do.

I really want to know what Mad MAG's reaction is to the news that pikeys have been stingered (stungered?) since they're very much Down With That Sort of Thing regarding both of them.

Epic fail by MAG yet again.

By joining in the tutting and finger wagging at the BikeLife 'yoof', they've effectively cut off hundreds of the next generation bike riders who may have actually been up for a bit of demonstrating etc. Now they will see them as a bunch of crustys that are with The Man.

Has MAG even attempted to open a dialogue with them? At all?

Bayklayf can steal all the bikes they like. Just as long as they don't wear my copyrighted logo. If they do, someone is sure to pop around and have a word. Not me, you understand, but someone. There's always someone. It doesn't matter that these thieves are mostly young men, that they carry knives, ammonia and angle grinders and are prepared to use them in gang violence. Some obese tyre fitter approaching retirement, who's been on a strict training regime of 20-a-day for the last 3 decades and gets all his protein from lager, is bound to pop around and have a word if they use my logo. They don't even know what my logo is, and have no interest in sporting it, and if they or anyone had to ask what it was, they wouldn't understand the answer. So I don't have much to worry about. If my bike's gone, my logo will remain safe.

As for the 1%, couldn't possibly be these guys telling you they're the 99%, who own several expensive new bikes and live in central London, could it? Or a roid raging cocaine dealer whose CBR was nicked, telling you to look out for scrotes on scooters?

<ha-ha-oh-wow.png>

If they have, I'll eat my lid.

Which is ironic, as MAG does in principle share the view that crash hats should be optional.

Jedward? Please let it be Jedward!
This could spawn a TV show. Celeb head in a top box, I know Edmonds would present it but I'd rather his bearded noggin was in one of those boxes.

If it ran for just one series society could be so much richer.

I've never been to prison. And i'm not too sure what after effects are incurred having done time. So i'm just being an uninformed skeptic.

But those sentences look to me like they're just at that sweet spot where they're not too long to be hard to serve but long enough for these baklaff associates to come out of prison on a bit of a "badmanz high-horse". Y'know like "Ye ive dun tym bruv. i'll murk u silly bruv. baklaff roadman init fam."
That sort of thing.

Kind of agree, compared to the stuff people don't get custodial sentences for, but then I understand why they'd want to make an example of them. Don't quite get the guy who organised it (but didn't actually attend) being sentenced.
