I been looking at the new UK Benelli website https://unitedkingdom.benelli.com/ and the model specs are rather vague apart from the TNT cafe racer 1130. Does anyone know if all their bikes are made in China apart from TNT? Like the new 600i, there is no information about suspension or fork maker. Reading they have a huge Chinese partnership, does anyone know if that means all the bikes are made in China and are their parts all Chinese made? Buying a complete Chinese bike doesn't do it for especially when the Italian brand Benelli name goes back a long time with heritage. The price seems quiet reasonable though compared to Aprilia Shiver for example.

And imported by MotoGB along with seven other niche marques.

As always, your problem will be that you'll be buying from some spiv who has no real interest in supporting your bike or the brand, parts will be a lottery, and good luck finding a buyer when you try and sell it on.

Buy one only if you can afford to throw it away. If it goes badly wrong, then throwing it down the road fully comped might genuinely be your best option.

Don't generalise like that, some of the MotoGB dealers are actually good sorts, got two good ones in Norfolk, Moonraker at Norwich and Dave Wicks at East Dereham. Wicks in particular has specialised in Enfields for decades and has MotoGB as they import Enfield.

Also got one absolute crap MotoGB dealer near us, who I avoid at all costs, will not even buy a banjo bolt washer from them!

Who is the bad one? Might help others in the same area avoid them.

Already named on another thread about Bad Dealers! C&A at King's Lynn. The sort of people who tell new bike owners that brakes should be binding!

Out of the eight marques that they sell, I don't see Benelli.

Five marques, no Benelli.

OP wants a Benelli.

MotoGB, the brand owned by the guy who tried to pass off Chinese bikes as genuine Jap? Shhh!

They were a bit crap when they appeared, again, 6 or 8 years ago!
A couple of friends of mine bought them, brand new, there was always something that needed fixing at the dealers, presumably under warranty.
When they were running, they sounded like there were a few extra parts inside the engine randomly getting thrown around the crankcases.
However, higher up the rev range they sounded exactly the same! Rolling Eyes

CBA looking for the model, but the one with the under seat cooling fans, pointing out of the back of the rear seat, was always overheating!

Apart from that they weren't exactly things of beauty, the naked version was particularly fugly!

They were ALWAYS crap. Many of them looked either good or startling.

Looking good or startling has always been considered an acceptable substitute for actually working in the Italian motor industry. I'd imagine Chinese ones would be no different and as such, will be totally authentic to the original marque.

I'd say I'd imagine because I can't see a picture of one on that website because it's too busy trying to load up social media crap.

Good luck getting any support or spares. Are they still flogging "new" Tornado 900s for £5k?

If you do buy one, expect it to have more breakdowns than Mariah Carey. Thumbs Up

Think Sid was referring to the Tornado. The shop down the road from me used to be knocking themo out cheap. But then again, he is MotoGB.

Whatever arguments against the Tornado, and there are many, it is certainly a lovely looking piece of Chinese crap.
