In the past I've always owned light bikes, so it was easy to pick the back up and swing it around when storing it, however the 990 is quite a bit heavier so it's a bit awkward. For now I've been using a cheap dinner tray but it shattered after a few uses, resulting in glass like shards, so that's not ideal for my tyres. I would roll the back wheel over it, then just push it round against the wall. I had a quick look on ebay and found what I was after for £50 (no thanks) but I can't even remember what I searched for to reference it for cheaper options. I suppose I could nick a heavy duty tray from McDonalds but caster wheels would be nice Thinking

You could attach some heavy duty casters to a square of 1" ply and then with the bikes on its centerstand you can swing the bike about easily. Two casters will have to be the locking type you see on big tool boxes otherwise the 'trolley' does have a tendency to shoot out if it senses any indecision.

or get the proper thing.
I've got [pic I can't find at mo] similar to this.

Which flavour? Thinking

New idea is these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112169492940?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

My mates after one so I'd just half it with him. 4.1" is a bit steep like, but I'd guess the bend in the middle is more like 3"? Either way, if the bike was kept on the stand it would make the bike lean over more than usual, so I'd either have to take it off each time, or put a bit of wood under the side stand I suppose.

I picked up some of these a while ago for moving furniture around and they slide very well on most surfaces...

https://www.amazon.co.uk/GreatIdeas-99-FURNITURE-SLIDERS-Original-Medipaq/dp/B002SAJRGS/

If your garage floor is unpainted concrete I'd expect them to wear out pretty fast, but you get 4 of the big ones in the pack which should be big enough for a tyre footprint. Or use the smaller ones under each foot of the centre stand and slide the bike around like dancing on ice....

Had one of these for years, love it. I used to have a Laverda triple and this thing handled the weight no trouble at all.

I guess your trying to provoke a reaction or suggest less estrogen in the OP's body? Wink

In truth a mechanical aid is the way forward, as plenty of people have fucked up their back trying to move or lift bikes in and out of buildings or vans etc.

Also if your young, remember blokes get weaker with age. I've owned 180kg bikes 10years ago that I could easily man handle or lift one end onto a stand etc. But I don't go to a weights gym now, and have lost some strength as well as abused my back etc at work over the years. Im glad of my 98kg bike now, which is about as heavy as I want or feel comfortable to lift up onto stands or over steps etc.

I wish I had a suitable screeded garage floor like these videos.

It's not even level, from the kitchen at the back to the door at the front there is a drop of approx 1 brick, not much compared to some driveways but surely a floor should be level.

One day I'll have the case to get it levelled.

Completely misread the title that item and then the picture wasn't what I expected!

I read "XL Trolley Dolly" and expected something like this:
