As it says- an icy road was the down fall.

As i fell i managed to twist the throttle which span the bike round and so it plopped over instead of smashing over.

Still got a £1300 repair bill-but at least im ok.

Oh- and SIDI boots saved my life by the way!

Can't stop- safe riding all! Cool

Ball orcs... Shocked

Sorry to hear that. Ice, yeah there was plenty out today. In patches, sometimes tricky to see. Be careful people.

Seem the weather has suddenly got colder and icy. I though the worse would have been over by now... Rolling Eyes

Hope you get well soon.

Yeah ta guys. I thought i would've been more shaken than i was- oh well.

I'll need a replacement brake lever anyway-presuming i can get away with the fairings.

Any ideas how to get someone to come out and look at it to make sure it's ok? Confused

Glad you're ok.

If you have a look for check lists for buying bikes and go over your bike, that should cover it.

I know you weren't really bothered by the money, but to others that are, this is why we often advise not to buy a new bike as a first big bike.

Exactly why I bought an old bike, so I can afford to throw it away if neccessary. Crying or Very sad

I conducted 'Operation Jetwash' and it isn't as bad as first thought. Minor cosmetic damage to the fairings. Insurance is a no-no. It'd be cheaper to patch it up in the long run. Run over by a skidding car- it dragged me by my boot out of the way of another car which was sliding towards my head Confused

I haven't been put off at all. I gotta drop it off for its 500 mile service on Tues so i'll see what needs replacing when they've done.

Yeah i can remember it. I remember being dragged along and thinking 'i hope you stop-you just saved my life practically.'

He stopped and i now owe him loads of beers. I'd also like to say that i was limping along afterwards at 10mph with me hazards on when i was flagged over by a car. It was a biker who was in his wifes car and was just looking out for me-making sure i was ok. What a nice bloke! Cool

Anything about the one at the start of this thread, or the more serious one? I don't know anything other than a witness statement about my accident. Headbutting the ground tends to do that. Neutral

The more serious one.

I can remember the whole thing for the one that this topic is about.

The other one happened on a Friday night and i can only remember sort of Wednesday night/Thursday morning of the following week.

However-there are some things that you wish you'd never get told.

This bird i like came to see me in intensive care and i was naked on top of the bed Embarassed
