Munich

Going for a long weekend in Munich with the wife been there a few times for work so going to do the usual touristy things in the evenings like Hofbrauhaus, Lowenbrau keller, Augustiner etc.
Anyone got any ideas what to do in the daytime we've got four days to kill I want to go to the BMW museum visit Rainpal German hq apart from that I'm at a loss what to do

Near the BMW place is the Olympic park and if it's a clear day then the tower is a nice place to look out over the city.
Obviously the Marianplatz where the clock does it's little show (not sure what time it happens....).
There won't be any nude sunbathing in the EnglishGarden in this weather, so it's safe to have a walk around there, although I'm not sure if the Chinese tower/beer garden will be open or not... Probably not.
Nymphenburg Palace is impressive.
The 'church' (Am Dom) opposite the Augustiner keller.
A walk along OdeonPlatz - Ludwig Strasse/Leopoldstrasse and a wander around schwabing.
The beer keller at Wiener platz is really nice and the surrounding area is interesting.

It's cold and there's a lot of walking but it's a really nice place to wander around. I can lose days strolling around there





IIRC There's a 'Polo' bike shop on the frankfurter ring (gear is usually a fair bit cheaper than here)

I was there a few years ago and filled half a day with a trip to the Dachau Concentration Camp and another hour or two on one of the Hitler Trails. Both tours were interesting.
Orlando's isn't a bad place to eat.

I took my dad to the Erdinger brewery and did the tour. Top day if you can get it booked. The let you stay as long as you want pretty much drinking beer for free! Erding is an interesting place too.

I've no idea what the prices are but a 'castles' tour may keep her amused. Neuschwanstein is a bit of a trot (which is why a 'tour' may be easier) but it's really impressive.
There are quite a few of them around the area.

I think it's a bit late for any 'Volksfest' but keep an eye out for any which are advertised. Basically they're mini 'local' oktoberfests. Usually 1 halle/tent (but big) with the umphar band, beer, bretzen etc and a little fun fair outside... Probably a train ride away but the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are really easy to use.
Much more enjoyable than the big Oktoberfest which is now just an expensive piss-head tourist trap.

Epic thermal spa\fun water park. Can buy Erdinger beer at the bar in the middle of some rapids
