Hello

I have a Thunderace and when I plug in an indicator (either of the 4) it just lights up continuously.

I have swapped the relay for the working one in my ZX9R and still the same. Is there a short there somewhere and I think its getting voltage all the time, this is even when ignition is turned off.

Any ideas where to look for a problem or any know issues?

Thanks

What do you mean "plug in an indicator either of the 4?
Usually it`s switching left or right in pairs.

I not 100% sure, I got fob with it and box on the side but starts anyway without problems.

Indicators work on / off in pairs with the correct bulb wattage,
the relay/flasher switch should only have a live feed when switched/ignition on, unless an alarm has been fitted and is faulty.

Are they LED indicators? If so perhaps you need a flasher relay to handle the low load of LEDs (or add loading resistors).

I only have to plug in one indicator and it comes on and that's with no key in ignition.

Alarm looks like its wired into loom, box has spyball written on it. Is this going to be a nightmare to find the issue?

Cheers

I seems to have got some working, I have had to butcher the spyball a bit to get into the plug (some tiny torx bit needed) and unplugged the box.

Will replace the tank tomorrow and see if it actually starts. Got my fingers crossed.

Cheers

It now does not start. If I plug in the box it will start but indicators are on. Once running, I can disconnect the box, its still idles and indicators work fine. Once I switch off though, it wont start unless you plug box back in.

Starter motor doesn't even spin without the box connected.

Cheers
