Hi, I'm fairly new to biking, I have a wr125 but hardly rode it due to breaking my ankle at footy Rolling Eyes . Sat on it for the first time for a few months and I really struggle to now get my foot in enough to work the back brake... does anyone know if i can somehow get the pedal further out or buy a custom wider one? When i googled it i can only find harley type pedals. thanks!

What I would do, is get a spare brake pedal, from a breakers yard if possible. That way, as your ankle improves, or if you sell your bike, you can restore it to standard. You can then cold bend the spare pedal to suit, using a big vice and a big hammer. Make sure that such a modification will not cause the pedal to catch on the exhaust etc.DO NOT try to bend the pedal whilst it is on the bike. The other way is to have an extension welded onto the part of the pedal your toe sits on.

Use your front brake?

If you really insist on using the rear, I'd be tempted to just add something to the existing one - in the past when I've broken the end off, I've just drilled a hole and added a bolt with a bank of nuts.

A good mechanic or workshop could easy modify your or a another pedal to help you I done this many many times

Local MOT tester had similar but permanent problems his bike has rear brake on handle bars with the clutch but the kit to do the well is expensive and takes time and money to fit a modified rear brake peddle is cheap
