Do these make a difference? Not changed the brake fluid on my bike in the time I've had it () so this might be an excuse to. What's the difference between OEM replacements and 'full length race'?

When I removed the ABS system from my FJ1200 I fitted two lines direct from the calipers to the master cylinder.It is far neater than the OEM system and has made a big difference to the feel of the brakes

I fitted these to the Kawasaki at about 50k miles. No discernible difference. Also rebuilt the master cylinders more recently. No change! Weirdly I've never had a problem with Tokico 6-pots either. Maybe I'm just rubbish.

From my understanding the benefit of braided hoses is that they are less likely to kink and more resistant to weathering.

Other than that no real change, just a fresh bleed.


Do they provide better fluid retention when it starts to boil or gets damp?

I've always had "older" bikes that have benefited from having the rubber brake lines replaced.

really trying to justify getting a set of these (£61 for front and rear), when I could be selling the ninja in a few months.... I've got used to the 3/4 lever pull for an emergency stop

Bugger! I wonder if I could have got some stainless lines for my Rover 220's rear brakes with the discount, or was it just bike specific hose kits in the offer?

I like stuff like stainless steel brake lines and polyurethane bushes, as for many applications it's a one off purchase that will never need to be replaced for the life of the vehicle.
